There might be other features that won't work, but the features I use the most worked fine, including 'save as' files other than pd. I found I could not do an animated gif without getting the message to reinstall the program. I clicked it once, no luck, twice, no luck so I just kept clicking ignore and after about 6 times, the installation finished! I have used PD many hours so I tried a number of the features. (which I had clicked to no avail numerous times in the past) was IGNORE. I just installed the program Photodraw V2 on my new laptop and it does not recognise any of the previous saved photodraw files I moved from my old computer.
